In preparation for the recent Harry Potter films' release (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1) I decided that it would probably be a good idea to read the book before hand. Now this may come as a surprise and almost a disgrace to major Harry Potter fans out there but I had never read a Harry Potter book before reading the last book. I know! I know! I should have started from the beginning and read them all through but I just couldn't.
Reading the book was mainly to prove to my sibling that I could read the book faster then them and... I did! I read it in exactly 1 week (and please cut me some slack! I know that there are people who have read the book in a day). And the result? I love the book! It's brilliant. I don't know how J.K. Rowling does it but she writes so well to lure in her audience and its so captivating.
So yesterday I went to see the film and I enjoyed it! I thought it was really well done and more or less true to the book. But, I'm not gonna lie I was a little disappointed as the whole thing just seemed a lot more exciting when I read it. Plus they missed out all the parts where Harry Potter uses his invisibility cloak which is really quite important. Having said that I thought as a whole it was a movie and I can't believe I have to wait until summer to see the second part! How frustrating!
